HospiceCare’s Big Bash promises entertainment aplenty

Claire and Sydney Coleman share a laugh at the 2017 event.

For 18 consecutive years, Cayman HospiceCare has celebrated its annual gala event, also known as the “Big Bash” at Ristorante Pappagallo in West Bay.

On May 4, you will be transported to a land far, far, away … to a planetary universe filled with cosmic magic and wonder. Can you guess what the theme of the Big Bash is this year? Here’s a hint: May the 4th be with you.

This all-inclusive event is unique in many ways. Included in the $250 ticket price is valet parking, cocktail reception, a four-course meal prepared by Chef Alex and his team of talented chefs, open bar all evening, martini bar, vodka luge, live music provided by Bona Fide and DJ Jacko and all the dancing you can stand.

The additional promise of no speeches, auctions or raffles makes this event the sellout that it always is. All you need to do is come with a healthy appetite, put on your dancing shoes and be prepared to boogie until the early hours.

Owner Vico Testori and his staff go overboard to make the Bash one of the most enjoyable events around.

“The Bash is such a popular event simply because there is no pressure on our guests,” says event organizer Kerrie McMillan. “We just want them to come along and have an enjoyable evening and leave with a smile.”

This fundraiser with a difference is 100 percent underwritten, thus guaranteeing all proceeds from ticket sales go directly to supporting the services of Cayman HospiceCare.
