Haven’t you always wanted to head out to an event without having to don the usual unforgiving ballgown, black tie and towering shoes? If so, this is the event for you!

The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman will be hosting its fifth annual fundraising Breakfast For Dinner event on May 12 at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort. Guests and supporters of the club will be treated to a Champagne reception, silent auction, raffle, three-course dinner and a fashion show hosted by Silhouette, a premier intimate apparel boutique located in Camana Bay. What is the dress code? Nightwear, sleepwear or the coziest wear you can find.

After the fashion show, one of the island’s top DJs, courtesy of One World Entertainment will get everyone up and dancing.

The idea for this unique event began a few years ago when the club was struggling to raise enough funds for its Buy a Kid Breakfast program which supports students at eight of the primary schools on island. These children would otherwise go to school hungry.

The Kiwanis Club wanted to host an event that was different than the usual dressy gala and decided to focus the night on a delicious breakfast, fun and entertainment. Each year, guests are encouraged to wear appropriate pajamas and last year a prize was given to the best dressed male and female, which will be up for grabs once again this year.

A few new additions will be a performance by Dance Unlimited and Shilpa’s Natural Henna Tattoo will be there to add some flair to guests’ outfits.

Models will walk the “runway,” showing off Silhouette’s latest and greatest pajamas and lingerie. After all, it is always nice to see what is available on the island.

The boutique is offering a 15 percent discount to all attending, so go out and purchase your ticket and then head over to Silhouette to get your PJs!

Tickets to attend this year’s Breakfast for Dinner are $100 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10.
