October marks an exciting time on Cayman’s event scene with Restaurant Month 2018.

Now in its sixth year, the Cayman Islands Tourism Association’s Restaurant Month has grown to be a much-anticipated annual promotion.

This time, CITA’s Restaurant Month festivities have an added bonus: The organization has joined forces with Celebrate Cayman in order to partake in the 60th anniversary celebration of Cayman’s Coat of Arms. Through this fun collaboration, patrons will have the opportunity to learn about Cayman’s rich culture and heritage while also embarking on a colorful culinary journey.

Some of the participants’ favorite parts of the Restaurant Month promotion are the exciting gift certificate giveaways and social media contests. For this year’s giveaway contest, CITA will be posing questions regarding Cayman’s culture and history. Those with the correct answers will have a chance to win a gift certificate to one of the 2018 participating restaurants.

For a chance to win, people are asked to stay tuned to the delectable details posted online and to “like” and “share” related posts on the Cayman Islands Tourism Association Facebook page and CITA’s Cayman Culinary Facebook page.

With its wide variety of delicious three-course dining options and prix fixe menus, Cayman’s only month-long culinary event appeals to locals and visitors of all ages. Whether you are dining out with family or a group of colleagues, Restaurant Month is about spending quality time with friends and loved ones, while getting out to enjoy Cayman’s culinary scene for less.

Restaurant Month runs through Oct. 1-31 and promises to provide a mouth-watering experience for everyone. With lunches starting at $15 and dinners starting at $25, there is a meal to suit all pocketbooks.

The Lobster Pot is one of Cayman’s legendary venues, with a second floor deck that offers unparalleled views of the sea.

CITA encourages everyone to visit www.restaurantmonthcayman.com to view all the delectable lunch and dinner menu options being offered by this year’s participating restaurants: AVE, Agua, Casanova By The Sea, Catch, Cayman Cabana, Champion House II, Cimboco, Eagle Rays Bar & Grill, Edoardo’s, Ferdinand’s, Rackam’s, Ristorante Pappagallo, Sunshine Grill, Taco Cantina, The Brasserie and The Brasserie Caboose, The Lobster Pot, The Wharf and Tukka.

Restaurants known for their culinary excellence, such as AVE in The Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, have signed up for Restaurant Month.

“Everybody loves food and participating restaurants always deliver the most incredible lunch and dinner options along with impeccable, Caymankind service,” says Hollie Whitelocke, CITA operations manager and restaurant sector representative. “CITA is proud to host Cayman’s only month-long culinary event and hope you, your colleagues, friends and family get together to join in this year’s fall foodie festivities.”

  1. It saddened our whole family when our favorite restaurant on the Island closed. Bombay Chopsticks and Chef Remy was an island treasure. Our family is making a public service announcement to Chef Remy: Sir it is your civic duty to reopen and dazzle the masses with your culinary mastery. Seriously our family wishes Chef Remy well in his current endeavors and would wish to thank him for the years of memories our family shares as a result of dining at Bombay Chopsticks.
