Cocaine recovered from South Sound

Police officers recovered five packages that washed ashore near South Sound dock Sunday, Oct. 7, that proved to be cocaine upon forensic examination.

The packages were weighed by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service on Oct. 12 and were found to have a total weight, including packaging, of 5.2 kilograms.

The contents were destroyed.
