Solomon Harris completed its merger with fellow-offshore law firm, Bedell Cristin, on Oct. 12.
First announced in July, the merger enables Solomon Harris to expand its reach into other international markets, including the Middle East and the Far East, where Cayman legal structures are particularly popular, the firm said.
It also allows the firm to provide more services through the offices in the BVI, Guernsey, Jersey, London and Singapore.
However, Solomon Harris emphasized it will continue to focus on its local Cayman practice, including real estate, banking, immigration and local corporate services.
Managing Partner Sophia Harris said she is looking forward to the next chapter for the firm she founded more than 20 years ago.
“We are delighted to be taking our services to the next level by expanding our global footprint. Our clients and our employees are excited about the merger and the benefits that it will offer,” she said.
Solomon Harris will retain its name for the time being but intends to rebrand as Bedell Cristin in the future.
