The Cayman Islands Football Association Under-15 league kicked into action Saturday morning at Haig Bodden Stadium, in Bodden Town, with 345 Kante picking up a big 5-0 victory over home-district favourites Bodden Town.

Liam Chisholm opened scoring for 345 Kante 15 minutes into the game when he converted from inside the box to give his team a 1-0 lead. That was followed by teammate Chad Owen’s goal just before the whistle blew to end the first half. Two minutes into the second half, Yalowb Niveira scored, and that was quickly followed in the 48th minute with another goal from Owen, to push 345 Kante’s lead to 4-0.

The Bodden Town players continued to attack and broke away several times but were unable to capitalise. 345’s Jav Tatiakiv scored in the 54th minute off the assist of Owen’s to end the game 5-0.

“This was a very interesting experience, because it’s my first time coaching here and I really didn’t know what to expect,” said 345’s new head coach Yannick Van Der Putten. “We started out with good possession, we did well with passing the ball and in the second [half]. we switched up the formation to a diamond and it worked out well. “The last 20 minutes, however, the kids were tired, but it was a good game, beautiful balls and beautiful playing.”
