  1. “Securely verified”- so as a person who has been vaccinated in the USA, I assume that leaves us out. Thanks for nothing, I guess. We will just go elsewhere for 2021. And sadly for the Caymanian tourist industry, we may find something better and simply never return. Wash, rinse and repeat that story thousands of times.

  2. Yes, I would like to know what safe and securely verified exactly means. My vaccinations were at a Giant Eagle in Ohio. I had to show ID; I took both my US passport and my driver’s license. If this is not acceptable, I hope this will be announced soon so I can cancel our October reservations, for the third time in the past year! We have to use our air tickets before late December or lose them. I guess we will have to go somewhere else.

  3. We canceled our daughters wedding three times. I can understand the first two over Covid Summer of 2020, but this summer while we are all vaccinated. It is very hard to plan a vacation let alone a wedding when the opening keeps getting pushed back further. Our other concern is when we do arrive on the island will they be ready for tourism!! How can the hotels, restaurants service industry gear up when there is not a defined opening? I guess with the banking industry they don’t really care about tourism. Sad…..

  4. The government needs to show some courage and leadership in order to get things moving, everyday Cayman moves further behind. Barbados, Antigua, Bermuda and others have managed to continue to operate without problematic levels of infection and public health problems in spite of what some of the ‘shroud wavers’ in Cayman might say.
