A motorcyclist was left nursing injuries Wednesday morning after a collision along Shamrock Road, police have confirmed.
The incident happened just before 8:30am.
Police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Shamrock Road involving a motorcycle and a car, a brief police statement issued to the Cayman Compass said.
The rider, police said, was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained injuries as a result.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
No other injuries were reported to the police.
The Cayman Islands Fire Service also responded to the crash and assisted with clearing the roadway.
This incident is being investigated by the police.
