The Public Health Department has reported 61 new cases of COVID-19.
In the latest update, Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Lee said there had been 60 local transmission cases and one case involving a traveller.
These results bring the number of active cases in Cayman to 3,645, as at 8am Tuesday.
The total number of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic is 7,724. Of those, nine have died, including two over the weekend, and 4,070 have recovered.
As of Tuesday morning, 4,208 people in the Cayman Islands were in isolation either in government quarantine facilities or at home.
There are currently 14 patients in hospital with COVID.
Sister Islands update
As of 8am Tuesday, Faith Hospital confirmed there were 10 active cases in the Sister Islands, with none identified in the previous 24 hours.
To date, there had been 120 total cases recorded in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, with 110 having recovered.
Out of the total number of cases in the Sister Islands, 62 were fully vaccinated, six were partially vaccinated, and 52 were unvaccinated.
There was no update on vaccination numbers from Public Health, as no COVID-19 vaccination clinics were held on Monday.
