Police are investigating a report of a male intruder who entered a condo on West Bay Road in the early hours of Sunday morning and molested a sleeping child.
The RCIPS said in a statement Wednesday that a man entered a bedroom in the condo, near Earth Close, where the child was sleeping with a parent. He touched the child inappropriately, startling her awake.
When the girl woke up, the man fled from the room, out the back door of the unit, police said.
He is described as having dark skin and a small beard, and wearing a black bandana.
Police said it was also reported that shortly before this incident, a man fitting the description entered another unit within the same complex and left after being seen by one of the occupants. No physical contact was reported in this case.
No injuries were reported as a result of either incident, police said.
The RCIPS is asking anyone who saw someone suspicious in the area between 1am and 3am on Sunday morning to report it to the police.
