Police arrested three people Friday after finding a loaded gun and ganja at a home in Tropical Gardens in George Town.
Officers arrested two women, ages 18 and 45, and a 26-year-old man at the residence after executing a search warrant, under the Firearm Law, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said in a statement issued Monday.
The man and the 45-year-old woman were both charged with possession of ganja with intent to supply, and possession of drug utensils, while the man was also charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Both appeared in court Monday, where the man was remanded to Northward Prison and the woman was offered court bail. Both will return to the Grand Court on Friday, 5 Aug.
The 18-year-old-woman was bailed pending further investigations, police said.
