If you speak gamer language, then names such as ‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’, ‘FIFA 22’, ‘Fortnite’, ‘Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’ and ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’ will be as familiar as those of good friends.
Time to quicken those reflexes and get ready to show others your skills at the Gamers Bay 6: Video Game and Technology Convention, being held at the John Gray High School gymnasium over the 30-31 July weekend.
The event was originally launched in 2016 by NetGeekz Media, and since its inception, it has grown to gain a large following on social media, with very positive feedback from competitors, spectators and special guest stars.

There is no question that the world of Esports is huge, with multiplayer tournaments appealing to all ages. At the same time, Comic-Con has exploded to become a phenomenon, with the grass roots movement that started in San Diego spreading to locations all over the world. Fans will therefore be happy to know that there will also be a cosplay costume competition at Gamers Bay.
The local convention has generated enough buzz to woo international talent. This year, YouTuber/Gamer BeckBroJack and YouTuber/TikToker/Gamer Windy Girk will be live and in person at the event.
BeckBroJack mainly plays Minecraft, is known for his family-friendly style, and has 4.4 million YouTube subscribers; and Windy Girk is a champion competitive gamer in Mario Kart Wii, with a love for anime and cosplay.
Spectator passes are $35 with cosplay competitor passes for $25 and game competitor passes for $150 (1 vs 1) and $300 (2 vs 2).
