Foodies can officially rejoice, as after a COVID-imposed hiatus, Restaurant Month is making its triumphant return in October.
The Cayman Islands Tourism Association announced that over 30 restaurants and bars have confirmed their participation this year, with additional venues expected to sign up ahead of the launch on Saturday, 1 Oct.
CITA’s Executive Director Jay Ehrhart said that the association is grateful to see Restaurant Month continue to bring together the sector and build upon Cayman’s position as the culinary capital of the Caribbean.
“I believe the food scene in the Cayman Islands is unmatched in the region, as we have some of the best restaurants, chefs and culinary teams in the Caribbean. With the number of Restaurant Month participants increasing each year, it’s a clear indication of the sector’s continued growth and success…
“CITA’s support through initiatives such as this not only strengthens the sector, but helps to elevate its standards,” Ehrhart said.
He added that with travel and gathering requirements now removed, restaurants were looking forward to welcoming locals back through their doors, and introducing visitors to what they have to offer.
Just as in the past, participating establishments will advertise lunch and dinner options with set three-course menus. Lunch prices range from $15 to $25 per person, with dinners ranging from $25 to $45 per person.
“Our… restaurants are prepared to give Cayman a flavour-filled month with great dining experiences. Every restaurant will showcase Cayman’s high calibre of cuisine, talent and service and I’m sure everyone who takes advantage of the special menus and offers will not be disappointed. Personally, I’m always inspired by what is prepared year after year,” Ehrhart said.
As an added bonus, food lovers can also expect lots of opportunities to win vouchers for participating restaurants over the next few weeks through multiple competitions and giveaways.
