A 33-year-old George Town man is set to appear in court on Monday on rape charges allegedly involving a child under 16.
Police, in a brief statement Saturday night, said the man was arrested on Wednesday, 4 Jan.
He has since been formally charged with two counts of rape, relating to incidents in October and November last year involving a child under 16.
The man remains in custody and will appear in court on Monday to answer the charges laid against him.
