Chloe Powery-Doxey has been officially crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands.
On Friday night, Powery-Doxey received her formal sash and crown as Miss Universe Cayman Islands at a special ceremony at the National Gallery.

Whitney Foster was sashed as 1st runner-up, replacing Hayley Grizzel, who opted to leave the Miss Universe Cayman Islands pageant.
Grizzel left to pursue other endeavors, the Compass was told.
Miss Universe Cayman Islands National Director Derri Dacres, speaking at the crowning, said the past eight months have been “quite an interesting one” as the local pageant executive navigated through the unprecedented situation with former queen Tiffany Conolly.
“We are turning the page to a new chapter, and soaring to new heights. I know with God on the frontline, this programme that started over 40 years ago with a committee that dedicated their lives and efforts to pageantry for over 20 years, will continue to rise above the adversities and provide a safe place for our Caymanian ladies to share their stories, develop and transform into role models,” she said.
Tourism Minister Kenneth Bryan spoke at the event, saying he looked forward to the new phase of the pageant.
Government relinquished the Miss Universe Cayman Islands franchise back in February.
The franchise was held by the Ministry of Tourism and Transport, which opted to drop the franchise following the recent controversy involving Conolly, who was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands in August last year.
It has not been an easy road for Powery-Doxey after the negativity that followed the former Miss Universe Cayman Islands.
Conolly, 25, of West Bay, was crowned at last’s year’s pageant. However it emerged that she had pending charges and her ability to represent the island on the global runway was called into question.
Conolly, who went on trial, was found guilty of the charges against her, which consisted of two counts of assault, two counts of damage to property, two counts of assaulting police and one count of disorderly conduct.
She is still awaiting sentencing after the Summary Court adjourned her sentencing hearing due to an incomplete social inquiry report.
Conolly was stripped of her duties as Miss Universe Cayman Islands and Powery-Doxey represented the Cayman Islands at the international pageant.
