A dismissal hearing will be going ahead later this year in the case of Cayman Marl Road administrator Sandra Hill, who faces a charge of blackmail.

Appearing before the Grand Court on Friday, 28 April, Amelia Fosuhene, who represents Hill, told the court that after weeks of waiting she received additional disclosure from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions the night before the hearing.

Earlier this month, Fosuhene had put the court on notice of her intention to file for the charges to be dropped due to a lack of evidence and disclosure.

“I have since received the disclosure and after having reviewed the matter, I am now applying to set a date for a dismissal hearing,” she told the court.

That hearing has now been scheduled for 2 June, at which time the court will decide whether or not to throw out the case against Hill.
