Two masked men made off with an undisclosed sum of money Thursday night after an armed robbery at a George Town service station.
No shots were fired during the incident and no one was injured, police confirmed Friday in a statement.
This is the second armed robbery of a service station in just over a week; the other occurred last Friday on Shamrock Road where two masked men armed with a gun stole cash.
This latest robbery was at the service station on Shedden Road at the intersection with North Sound Road.
Police said officers responded to the scene shortly after 8pm Thursday.
It was reported that two masked men, one of whom appeared to be carrying a firearm, entered the business and demanded cash from the register.
The men then fled west along Shedden Road on foot with a quantity of cash.
Police said one of the suspects was described as being short in height, of brown complexion, while the second suspect was described as being taller and of dark complexion.
Both men were dressed in all black with masks.
George Town CID is investigating the robbery.
