A masked robber fired a gun at a man who was trying to run from him at a George Town bar early Thursday morning, police have reported.
Just after 3am on 18 May, emergency services were dispatched to Bananas bar on Eastern Avenue in George Town.
They were told that, following a dispute inside the premises, a masked gunman approached a man who was attempting to leave in his vehicle and demanded his valuables.
The victim used the door of his car to push past the robber and ran in the direction of the bar. The assailant fired his gun at the fleeing man before stealing the man’s car.
No one at the location reported any injuries as a result of the incident.
Police later located and recovered the vehicle. No one has been arrested.
