Police are “following lines of inquiry” relating to the identity of a body of a man found floating in George Town Harbour late on Saturday night.
As of Monday afternoon, he had still not been identified.
Asked if police would be providing a description of the man, an RCIPS spokesperson said, “We are following lines of inquiry. If public assistance is needed at a later stage, we will consider releasing a description.”
He added that it appeared the man had entered the water earlier on Saturday evening.
Port Authority staff called 911 late Saturday night to report the sighting of the body in the water. Police and Fire Service crews attended the scene, and Fire Service officers later pulled the man from the water after midnight.
