A 52-year-old visitor from Canada has died in a water-related incident in the vicinity of Rum Point, North Side, police have said.
In a statement Saturday night, police said that shortly after 3pm Friday, emergency services responded to a report of a person in distress on a vessel in North Side.
Police said it was reported that a man had been swimming near the vessel when he was seen unresponsive in the water.
The man was taken to the vessel by other persons in the vicinity and CPR was administered.
The vessel arrived at the nearest dock, where the man was then transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital.

He was pronounced dead on arrival.
