A woman has reported to police that she was raped after accepting a ride from three men in a car, one of whom was armed, as she was waiting at a bus stop in Savannah Monday morning, the RCIPS said in a statement.

Just after 10.25am, officers were dispatched to a report of a serious sexual assault, according to the police press release.

The woman had been at the bus stop when she was offered a ride by three men in a small car, one of whom was known to her, police said.

When she entered the car, the men drove her to a secluded area, brandished a firearm at her, and she was sexually assaulted. They allowed her to exit the vehicle before driving off.

It is unclear if all three men assaulted the woman.

The suspect who was driving the vehicle was tall, of dark complexion and muscular build, the press release said.

The suspect who brandished the gun was of dark complexion, with a large beard and short hair.

The third suspect was skinny, of brown complexion, with short dreadlocks.
