A 26-year-old George Town woman remains in police custody on suspicion of wounding a man following an altercation at a restaurant and bar on Eastern Avenue.
The incident, which involved a knife, happened just before 4pm on Wednesday, police said in a press release issued the following day.
The woman, who had left the scene, was located by the officers following a search of the nearby areas and arrested on suspicion of wounding, police said.
She is currently in custody pending further investigation.
The injured man, who was seriously injured with a knife and had also left the scene, was located on Shedden Road by officers, according to police,.
Police rendered first aid to the man, the RCIPS said, until the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital.
He was being treated for what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said officers and other emergency services were dispatched to the restaurant, which is located on Eastern Avenue near Godfrey Nixon Way, where it was reported that a man and a woman had an altercation involving a weapon.
Both parties left the location before the police arrived.
