Police responded to an armed robbery call on Rock Hole Road in George Town on Saturday.
Two people reported being approached by an unknown man dressed entirely in black, including a black face covering, and “carrying what appeared to be a firearm”.
One person escaped the scene, and the other was robbed of cash by the man, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service. The alleged robber fled the location, and police are now searching for a man between 5’ 8” and 5’ 10” in height, of dark complexion, and suspected to be in his late 20s.
No shots were fired and there were no reported injuries.
