Police are searching for a man with a machete who held up a restaurant on Mary Street on Friday afternoon.
The armed robbery occurred shortly after 4pm, when the man, whose face was covered, entered the restaurant armed with a machete and demanded money from the staff, police said.
After taking a quantity of cash, he fled the scene on foot.
Police said no one was injured.
The Criminal Investigations Department is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the George Town Police Station on 949-4222.
