A man and a woman, both age 29 of George Town, have been charged with firearm and drug offences, following a police search of a residence, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said on Monday.
The man was first arrested on Friday shortly after 2:50pm, alongside another man, age 22 of West Bay, after officers conducted an operation outside of a restaurant on Shedden Road in George Town for suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja, and possession of ganja with intent to supply.
After their arrests, RCIPS conducted searches of the residences of both men. At one location, officers said they recovered a loaded firearm and an unspecified quantity of cocaine. A 29-year-old woman was also arrested at the location and charged with the same offences, police said.
