Three men have been arrested after a man was assaulted and robbed at knife point of his jewellery at a George Town bar Friday evening.

Police said they responded to a report of a robbery at the premises in Shedden Road around 6pm.

“It was reported that three men at the location approached a male victim, one of the men brandished a knife and demanded his jewellery,” police said in a statement.

It said the men assaulted the victim and stole “three gold-coloured necklaces” from him, before leaving the scene in a black vehicle before police arrived.

The man was assessed by Emergency Medical Services personnel and his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, police said.

Police later arrested three men, ages 31, 28 and 27, all from George Town, on suspicion of robbery.
