Police are investigating a late-night robbery on a business by a machete-wielding masked man who escaped with cash.
Police said the man struck at the commercial premises and threatened staff before he fled on foot with his haul.
The incident happened just before 10pm on Thursday, 18 Dec., on Walkers Road in George Town.
Police searched the area but were unable to track down the suspect.
A police spokesperson said, “The investigation into this incident is ongoing and detectives are seeking witnesses who may have seen the robbery take place or have pertinent information that may lead to the identification of the robber.”
