Caymanian footballer Molly Kehoe has officially completed a move to Gwalia United, signing with the club on Monday, 2 Feb.

The 21-year-old joins the Welsh-based side from West Bromwich Albion FC Women, where she spent the past seven months.

Kehoe made her first official appearance for Gwalia United on Sunday, 8 Feb. in a league match against Plymouth Argyle. The game ended in a 0–0 draw.

Normally an attacking midfielder on the pitch, Kehoe said that her position has potential for change, adding, “I’m not quite sure exactly where the manager sees me playing as yet, but it’ll be as an attacking midfielder or across the front line possibly as a winger or striker.”

Regarding the move to Gwalia United, Kehoe said, “It was an opportunity for me to play more regular minutes and the style of play suits me more at Gwalia. They’d been asking me to join them for a while and after having spoken with the new manager, I really liked the project and ideas that they are building. And I felt the opportunities were better.”

Settling in with her new club, Kehoe is clear about her objectives, she said, “My goal is to enjoy my football, get regular minutes every week and help the team as much as possible by scoring goals and winning games.”
