The Centre for Theological Leadership Training marked another significant milestone on 28 June as graduates, family members, lecturers and church leaders gathered for the institution’s ninth annual graduation service at the Church of God of Prophecy Victory Tabernacle on Eastern Avenue.
The afternoon ceremony recognised students who successfully completed programmes, ranging from certificate studies to master’s degrees in biblical and theological studies, reflecting the continued growth of the non-denominational Bible school since it was established nine years ago.
In his annual report, the centre’s founder and director Bishop P.J. Lawrence highlighted the institution’s steady expansion from a single certificate programme to a range of higher education opportunities, while maintaining its commitment to affordable theological education.

“Over the past nine years, CTLT has steadily grown from modest beginnings, offering only a certificate programme, to now providing diploma, bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in biblical and theological studies,” Lawrence said.
He added that the school’s mission remains to make “sound biblical and theological education accessible to all who desire to equip themselves for the service of God and His Kingdom”.
Lawrence also pointed to one of the year’s most significant achievements, a free 10-module evangelism course that attracted more than 100 participants from several countries. He thanked the institution’s lecturers, volunteers and supporters for helping expand the centre’s reach across the Caribbean and beyond, including into Europe, Africa, Canada, India and the Americas.
Addressing the graduating class, the centre’s president, The Right Reverand Clayton Martin, who also serves as general presbyter for the Caribbean and Atlantic Ocean Islands for the Church of God of Prophecy, congratulated the students on their perseverance and encouraged them to view graduation as the beginning of greater service rather than the end of their studies.
“This milestone does not represent the conclusion of your calling, but rather the inauguration of a greater stewardship,” Martin said. “You now stand at the threshold of expanded service, entrusted with the responsibility of advancing the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ with fidelity, humility and conviction.”
The graduation ceremony also featured a keynote address by Pastor Stephen Ryan of First Baptist Church, the presentation of certificates, a dedication of graduates, a valedictorian’s address and musical performances.
Looking ahead, the centre announced plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary graduation in June 2027, with officials anticipating a visit from representatives of its accrediting body, ACTS India, as the institution marks a decade of theological education in the Cayman Islands.
