New stars can bombard Kings

More talent is expected to take centre stage in Cayman hockey.

With the Kings Sports Centre youth roller hockey travel team away competing in Atlanta, the remaining players were at Kings competing last Saturday.

Missing several coaches and key players the league didn’t miss a beat. The games were all exhibition with parents filling in for missing coaches and players being loaned to opposing teams to balance the competition. A real feeling of excitement was in the air.

The games saw new stars arise. Lots of goals and end-to-end rushes were the staple with every player getting in on the action. Not having many substitutions meant there were lots of tired kids after the games. They would all have a great workout, who still had enough energy to smile.

This upcoming Saturday’s games in the PeeWee division (10-13 years old) will feature the Conyers Canucks against the Vampt Oilers at 7.45am, the Appleby Sharks against the CDS-IBM Flyers at 8.45am and the KPMG Senators against the Stuarts Panthers at 9.45am.
