Illegal weapons were found on a man arrested Saturday at Public Beach, Royal Cayman Islands Police officers reported.
Police responded to a suspicious person report at the Public Beach Cabanas on Seven Mile Beach around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers said they found a knuckle duster (brass knuckles) on one suspect, a 27-year-old man from Bodden Town. The man’s car was later searched and officers recovered ganja and an adapted flare gun loaded with a live round.
The gun had been adapted to fire ammunition from a hand gun, police said.
No charges were immediately filed against the suspect, who remained in police custody over the weekend.
