Police officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have information about an armed robbery at the outside bar of Beaches Sports Bar, Grand Harbour, about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
A statement from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said two men, both armed with silver handguns, stole money from the bar and personal items from patrons before fleeing on foot.
Beaches manager Alan Simpson said the men had taken about $600 from the bartender, who was left shaken.
He said the bar had not previously had any incidents would now run nightly security patrols with canines.
