I-Cup games need women

Women flag footballers are asked to come forward to enter the showpiece end or season tournament next month.

Flag football’s second annual International Cup (I-Cup) Tournament is on the weekend of 6-7 December. Games will start at 12 noon on Saturday and at 1pm on Sunday at the Cayman International School (DART field).

There will be four men’s teams and four women’s teams. The cost is $25 per player (includes T-shirt).

All of the rules are the same as league play with the following exceptions: the clock does not stop throughout the game, each team has one 30 second time-out, there are no kickoffs, teams start possession at the 20 yard line and women will play 5-a-side.

Players will be assigned to teams based on their nationality. The four teams and coaches are as follows for women: USA: Brendon Malice [email protected] 925-4964, Cayman: Perry Levy [email protected] 916-8333, Canada: Shawn Pitterson [email protected] 525-2509 or [email protected] and World: Andrew Wisdom [email protected]
