A Year 12 pupil was stabbed in the chest by a fellow student at John Gray High School on Wednesday morning.
The girl suffered non-life-threatening wounds in the attack which occurred around 10am.
The victim was being treated in hospital Wednesday afternoon.
The alleged attacker, also a Year 12 female student, is in police custody.
Both students are believed to be from Bodden Town.

The minister of education, Rolston Anglin, is expected to meeting school officials at John Gray this afternoon.
