Leader of Government Business greeted the Ambassador of Brazil last Wednesday afternoon.
Kurt Tibbetts said he was pleased by the opportunity to host a brief meeting with Brazilian envoy Cézar de Souza Lima Amara, according to a Government Information Service press release.
The two discussed matters of mutual interest and exchanged mementoes from each country.
‘The people of the Cayman Islands should be congratulated for their resilience in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan. For such a small country that endured so much destruction, it is refreshing to see a people of such resolve, dignity and friendliness,’ Ambassador de Souza Lima Amara, said.
Mr. Tibbetts said: ‘It is always a pleasure to host visiting dignitaries as it gives me the opportunity to proudly showcase our beloved Cayman Islands.’
