Auto Show proves to be big hit with thousands

On Discovery Day, 16 May, George Town was transformed into a showcase for shiny and exotic vehicles, motorcycles and other unique transports.

People of all ages took in the sights, leaning in for a better look at luxury interiors, customised designs and spotless engines.

The day’s entertainment included live music from The Fabulous 68s and a Sound Off Competition, where car owners flexed their sound system muscles.

The machines on display were also judged in various categories including Super Car and Classic Car classes. The Best in Show award, chosen with enthusiasm by attendees, went to a shiny silver Chevy Impala, which was placed in the VIP area next to Sandbar.

Organisers are still tallying the money raised by donations and vehicle participation fees, which will be dispersed between the R3 Cayman Foundation, Humane Society, Cayman Community Farms, Plastic Free Cayman and 100 Men who Care.
