In the first match of the weekend, two of the remaining three league contenders met when Harps faced Sarsfields. Sarsfields relinquished first place with their first defeat of the season in their previous match and were looking to get back on track here.

Unfortunately for them, Elena Testori was in top form for the Harps scoring 1-6, helping her team get the win by 1-8 to 0-2. That result meant that Clan na Gael could go two points clear at the top if they could beat Bredagh.

Bredagh started strongly, however, as Abbie Pritchard scored 1-3 to help them to a 1-4 to 0-1 half-time lead. Clan na Gael sprung to life in the second half, with Maralynn Smith scoring 3-2 as they came back to win, 3-4 to 1-5.

The next match was between Oliver Plunketts and Skeheenarinky. Skeheenarinky were still searching for their first win, while the Plunketts were looking to maintain their grip on fourth place.

Skeheenarinky were missing numerous key players, which resulted in a very one-sided encounter. Carol Leahy scored 5-1 and Holly Venn 2-3 as Oliver Plunketts ran out comfortable winners 7-7 to 1-3.
