As part of its 60th anniversary celebrations, the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce has relaunched its Business Excellence Awards.
Initially introduced in 2017, the awards programme recognises outstanding achievements and corporate social responsibility among chamber members.
“We’re thrilled to bring back the Business Excellence Awards in a way that reflects the growth and transformation of Cayman’s business landscape,” said chamber CEO Wil Pineau in a press release.
Nominations by Chamber of Commerce members in good standing are now open for 10 categories:
• Business of the Year
• Small Business of the Year
• Community Impact
• Commitment to Youth Education
• Entrepreneur of the Year
• Marketing Campaign of the Year
• Best ESG Project
• Training Champion
• Innovation Award
• Lifetime Achievement
Nominees will be evaluated on innovation, leadership, measurable impact and community involvement. Entries should include key accomplishments, testimonials and supporting materials that demonstrate excellence in their field. A panel of internal and external judges will review all submissions.
Winners will attend a signature black-tie gala event on Saturday, 15 Nov. 2025, at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa.
“This is more than just an awards ceremony,” said Pineau. “It’s a celebration of the innovation, resilience and community spirit that define our members.”
Nominations are open until 1 Oct. A new website has been launched to support the programme. The site outlines award categories and submission criteria, and provides a user-friendly portal for nominations.
Honouring the legacy of excellence
The Business Excellence Awards programme, which has been dormant since the 2018 event, builds on a tradition of recognising local trailblazers. Previous recipients of the chamber’s Lifetime Achievement Award winners include founding member Cardinall DaCosta and past president Keith Parker Tibbetts Jr., both honoured for their significant contributions to the Cayman Islands’ business community.
“The 2025 gala is expected to be one of the year’s premier business events, offering networking opportunities, media exposure and formal recognition for leaders who are shaping the future of Cayman,” the chamber said in the release.
