Jordan Crooks, the 2022 short-course 50-metre freestyle world champion, is looking to add the long-course title to his resume next month as he continues to prepare for the FINA World Championships, in Fukuoka, Japan.

Jillian Crooks returned home on Tuesday, 20 Dec., after setting multiple national records at the FINA World Championships in Australia.

The arrivals hall at Owen Roberts International Airport this afternoon was filled with people welcoming home Jordan Crooks, who won a gold medal at the FINA World Championships over the weekend.

Caymanian sibling swimmers Jordan and Jillian Crooks secured personal best times and national records, respectively, during the 19th FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Seventeen-year-old Lauren Hew represented the Cayman Islands in the pool at the FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary from July 14-30, competing with some of the best swimmers from 182 countries.

On Friday, day four at the FINA World Championships (25m) in Windsor, Ontario, Alison Jackson swam a personal best in the 50 backstroke with a 31.25 and Lauren Hew swam a personal best in the 50B of 28.86.

On Wednesday, day two at the FINA World Championships (25m) in Windsor, Ontario, Lauren Hew and Alison Jackson competed in the 100m Freestyle.

On the opening day of swimming at the FINA World Championships (25m) on Dec. 6 in Windsor, Ontario, all three of Cayman’s swimmers – Lauren Hew, Alison Jackson and Alexander McCallum – were in the water.
