Digicel, major sponsor of the Pirates Week National Festival, is offering revellers the chance to win big in a Pirates Week Treasure Hunt for cash prizes.
To win a cash prize every day from Monday, 31 October through Saturday, 5 November, Digicel Pirates Week Treasure Hunt participants must find the daily hidden prizes through a series of clues. Prizes will be hidden throughout all districts on Grand Cayman for the duration of Pirates Week.
Each day, the location of the prize will be in the same district that is holding its Heritage Day on that day. Once found, the hidden prize can be redeemed for a daily cash prize of CI$300.
Clues will be given out every day at 3om on local radio stations Vibe 98.9FM and X107FM. Plus, participants can text the key word CLUE to the phone code 2583 (which also spells CLUE on a mobile phone dial pad) to get the day’s clue 15 minutes early.
To win the big daily grand prize of CI$300, participants must physically find the hidden prize and bring it to the Digicel corporate offices at 36A Dr. Roy’s Drive, 3rd Floor, Cayman Financial Centre.
If people can’t go out to search and still want to play, they can win via text. Each day, there will also be a separate text prize of CI$100 for the first person to guess the location of the day’s hidden prize.
To make your text guess, just text your answer in to the phone code 4868 (which spells HUNT on a mobile phone dial pad.) The first correct answer received via text will win the daily CI$100 text prize. Each day’s text winner will be contacted by Digicel by phone to claim their prize.
While there are two separate cash prizes to be won daily, if there is no winner on any given day the prize money will roll over to be added to the next day’s prize money until there is a winner.
Total cash prizes over the week amount to CI$2,400.
Each text to phone code 2583 (CLUE) to get an early clue costs 20 cents. Each text to phone code 4868 (HUNT) to guess the location of the daily hidden prize costs 30 cents.
While only Digicel customers can text in to the special phone codes to get early clues and win the daily $100 text prize, everyone is eligible to win the $300 daily prize by listening for the radio clues, finding the physical location of the hidden prize, and redeeming it at the Digicel office.
