Skate pro visits Bonaventure

Police Constable Steve Myers recently visited West Bay boys home Bonaventure to show a skateboarding video. He also brought along a special guest – professional skateboarder Dayne Brommet.

A great inspiration to the boys, Dayne gave them an autographed DVD and also stickers from some of his sponsors.

All the boys were enthusiastic and are looking forward to going to the Black Pearl Skate Park during the Christmas season, said a RCIP press release.

Also in attendance was the youngest skater at the park, Sean Myers, who just turned five, and his big brother Brian Myers, 14. Sean gave a demonstration on his skateboard during the event.

PC Myers will be continuing to work with the boys at the home on other projects.
