Police seek dump trucks following fatal accident

Police investigating Monday’s traffic accident which killed a 75-year-old woman are seeking the occupants of two dump trucks who may have witnessed the events.

Officers have been approached by a witness who saw two trucks heading east around the time of the collision. Officers say those travelling in the trucks could hold vital information and are urging them to get in touch.

The collision occurred at around 1.40pm on Shamrock Road in Bodden Town in front of the Lower Valley Water Authority and involved two silver Honda Civics.

The woman, Sarah Roy, (also known locally as Susan or Sue) of Star Apple Road, Bodden Town, passed away at George Town Hospital. She was a Scottish national.

Police are appealing for the occupants of the dump trucks or anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle prior to the incident to contact them.

Witnesses are asked to contact PC Ian Yearwood at the Traffic Management Unit on 946-6254 or the anonymous Crime Stoppers line on 800 TIPS.

Police investigating death

Police have launched an investigation following the death of a 33-year-old man on Tuesday.

The 911 Emergency Communications Centre was called at 11.05pm to Williams Drive in Windsor Park.

Police and medics attended the scene but the man was pronounced dead at George Town Hospital.
