New librarian joins National Gallery

The national Gallery has a new librarian for its art library.

Deborah McNeill has a B.A. in Art History from Queen’s University, Canada and a Diploma in Librarianship from the University of New South Wales.

The U.K-born world traveller has been busy organizing the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands’ library for several months since moving here with her husband, Cayman’s Information and Communication Technical Authority’s General Counsel Greg Van Koughnett.

The library has thousands of publications comprising books, magazines, DVDs and videos available to loan to members. It is located at the National Gallery Education Centre, Bay Town Plaza, West Bay Road.

The collection also holds university catalogues for art students, slides and reference books on holding exhibitions, and learning various genres of fine art, craft and design.
