Digicel offers alternative landline

Digicel has introduced a new alternative to the traditional home phone.

With Digicel @ Home there is no installation required – customers can just plug the device into an electrical outlet and are ready to go.

The home phone is available at the introductory price of $149 plus deposit for post-paid customers, which includes two months free subscription. Pre-paid customers can purchase it for $199 with no deposit.

The Digicel home phone does not connect to conventional landline telephone systems but instead communicates over GSM cellular networks. Users can operate the phone wherever there’s an AC outlet and a network signal.

The home phone features a large Qwerty keyboard that makes text messaging convenient, with easy-to-read icons that give the phone a more user friendly interface, the release said.

The home phone is available at all Digicel stores.
