Police arrested two people following a police pursuit Thursday afternoon.
Drugs Task Force officers attempted to pull over a vehicle with two occupants near to the Bobby Thompson roundabout at around 3.30pm. The vehicle refused to comply and made off, proceeding to collide with another vehicle whilst negotiating the roundabout, said a RCIPS press release.
The occupants of the third car were unhurt.
Police pursued and the vehicle came to a stop in Daisy Lane West Bay at approximately 3.50pm. The occupants attempted to run from the vehicle but were apprehended and taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle and surrounding area was carried out in Daisy Lane.
As with all incidents of police pursuits, a senior police officer is carrying out a review to ensure that the pursuit was conducted in accordance with RCIPS pursuit policy.
