25 year old Victor Chicas of Latinos FC has been unanimously voted CIFA Cayman Airways Player of the Month for September 2006.
In recognition of his outstanding performance Victor was presented with an airline ticket courtesy of Cayman Airways to any of their 12 destinations and a trophy.
Victor was also recently voted CIFA Gatorade Player of the Week for the week of October 08th to 14th. He expressed his delight at being named the CIFA Cayman Airways Player of the Month, although he does not know yet where he is going to travel with his prize ticket. Victor stated that he would probably travel ‘to a place that I have never been before and I do not need a visa to go to, like Jamaica’.
Latinos FC President, Mr. Miguel Brown, was thrilled at the news that Victor had been awarded CIFA Cayman Airways Player of the Month and declared ‘Victor absolutely deserves it. He is an example on and off of the football field; he is a very disciplined player, who always attends his training sessions with the team and remains focused on the game. When he showed interest on transferring to Latinos FC, we jumped at the opportunity. He is a honest and hardworking person, and I can’t commend him enough on his abilities’.
Victor has scored two goals so far this season for his team. Victor was born in Honduras and is currently employed with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel as a Welder. His hobbies are football, reading, dancing, music and any activity related to the outdoors.
