East End FC and Latinos FC top their zones.

Even though the football season is just starting, there are already two clear contenders for the CIFA Foster’s National League: East End FC (Eastern Zone) and Latinos FC (Western Zone).

East End is one of the districts with one of the smallest populations in the Cayman Islands, but they more than make for that with the enthusiasm and energy that their football team displays on the field. Mr. Thiago Cunha, Technical Director for East End United FC says that he is happy with the current results for his team and adds ‘Our players train four times per week, so we can say that our physical condition is very good. We have worked very hard to achieve a strong team, so we can stay on top. Our last eight matches have been excellent; we analyze each team while they play in order to establish a strategy for our matches against them, and I always play a 4-4-2 formation, with 2 fast and strong attackers in front’.

On the other hand, Mr. Juan Rives, Coach of Latinos FC, confesses to feeling happy that his team is on top of their Zone, adding, ‘The players are assimilating the training schedules very well and they have had a very good preparation. To remain and finish on top might mean a straight pass to the quarterfinals for us, so we need to keep working hard and training steadily to achieve that. All of the players are very important for the team and they are pivotal for Latinos FC to stay on top’.

East End United FC will be facing Future SC on Sunday November 12th, at 5:00 p.m. on East End, whereas Latinos SC will do the same against Future SC on Wednesday November 22nd, at 6:30 p.m. at The Annex.
