Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited will start spreading holiday cheer this weekend when their roundabout in Industrial Park lights up.
The roundabout features a magnificent 30-foot tree of lights adorned with garlanding, ornaments and bows. Six-foot candy canes, candy cane arches, a train set, holiday signs and decorated palm trees will also add to the ambiance.
‘Lighting and decorating our roundabout each year is just one way Butterfield gives back to the community, and the public seems to really appreciate it,’ Marketing Officer Rhonda Serrano said in a press release. ‘This year promises to be even better and brighter than last year.’
Butterfield Bank adopted the roundabout in 2003 as part of Cayman’s Quincentennial celebrations and signed a five-year commitment with the Ministry of Planning, Communications, Works and Information Technology to fund the landscaping, infrastructure and ongoing maintenance costs of enhancing it.
The Butterfield Bank Roundabout links the Esterley Tibbetts Highway with the North Sound, Crewe Road and Eastern Avenue roadways.
