Mr. Robshaw expressed that the most fulfilling part of being a sponsor ‘is to see their progress and the way that the game is improving. The players are very committed to the game and I can see that on the field. I would like to encourage other businesses to come out and support the Leagues; it is way to give back to the community. We are preparing the next generation and the benefits will come back to them over the years. I am proud to say that the commitment to football is bigger now that it was on the early days’.

On the other hand, Michelle McField, the awardee, declared, ‘It feels great to be honored with this distinction. I give everybody the performance that they want to see on the field, but at the end, is all about having fun’. When asked about other players like Shakeina Bush and Shenelle Gall, and their ability to read the play better than others, she stated, ‘It isn’t only based on experience, but on passion too. Shanelle has got the speed, whereas Shakeina has both the skills and the speed; she gets into the game with one idea and that is to score and to try to play the best for their team. If I played with both of them, that would be a team right there. We all know where the ball has to go in order to score’.

Regarding the feasibility to have a National Team within the five teams competing on the CIFA Simon Robshaw Women’s League, she said, ‘We have more than enough material to conform a National Team. Nobody is better than anybody; all are part of the same game’.
