Greenies 1, the most unpredictable team in local cricket produced one of their surprised performances in recent action. Pulling out their A game, Greenies 1 defeated By Rite by 5 wickets in a low scoring match. Batting first By Rite was limited to only 95 runs with only two batsmen getting into double figures. A controlled batting display by Paul Monico 52n.o and 22 extras was enough to see Greenies 1 home.
Division 1 leaders Police recorded their fourth consecutive victory as Pearson Best returned to his hundred scoring system. Police defeated Esso at the Jimmy Powell Oval.
MONEY EXPRESS DIVISION 2
West Bay pulled out all their experience to defeat Welly’s ICC at the Smith Road Oval. Losing 7 wickets for 73 runs, West Bay rallied their troops with Morvin Brooks 30 and George Johnson 32n.o putting up a great rear guard action and scoring a respectable total of 179 runs for 9 wickets. It was tough going for Welly’s ICC and they folded for 117 runs.
